A prayer honoring the Cross of Christ and asking for peace, protection, and confidence in His saving power.

I salute You, I adore You, I embrace You, O Adorable Cross of my Savior. Protect us, guard us, save us. Jesus loved You so much, and following His example, I love You. Your holy image calms my fears. In You I find peace and confidence. Amen.

The Holy Cross

Invocation of the Cross

A short invocation asking Christ, who conquered death through the Cross, to protect and save us.

O Cross, our only hope. Through you the Word was made flesh, and through you the world was redeemed. O Jesus, conqueror of death, protect us and save us. Amen.

Miraculous Medal

Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary

When holding or wearing the Miraculous Medal, many Catholics pray the prayer inscribed upon it.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Bless our homes, protect our families, and lead us always closer to your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

St. Benedict Medal

Prayer of Protection

A prayer asking Saint Benedict’s intercession and the grace to remain steadfast in faith.

Holy Father Saint Benedict, faithful servant of Christ, pray for us and protect us from all evil. Through the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, may every temptation be driven away, every danger be removed, and every evil spirit depart. May Christ guard our homes and keep us firm in faith. Amen.

Sacred Heart

Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

A prayer of trust and consecration to the merciful Heart of Christ.

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, fountain of mercy and love, I place my trust in You. Protect my family, strengthen our faith, and fill our hearts with Your peace. In times of trial, keep us faithful and courageous. Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You. Amen.

For the Home

Prayer for the Protection of the Home

A simple family prayer that may be said when placing sacramentals or creating a prayer corner in the home.

Lord Jesus Christ, bless this home and all who live within it. May Your Cross protect us, Your Sacred Heart guide us, and Your Holy Mother watch over us. Fill this house with peace, faith, and charity. May we always remain close to You. Amen.

How to Use Each Element

These elements are meant to be used with faith, reverence, and simplicity. Begin with one step, and let your spiritual life grow from there.

If you have not been formally enrolled, ask a priest — it takes only a few minutes and carries Our Lady’s promise.

Purple Scapular

Wear it alongside the brown scapular as a sign of trust and protection.

“O Crux Ave, Spes Unica” (Hail O Cross, Our Only Hope)

Hawthorn Leaves

Steep in boiling water for 14 minutes to create a healing infusion.

Store in a cool, dry place.

Important Notes for Families

The purpose of this guide is to encourage prayerful spiritual preparation and peace within the home.

What Sacramentals Are For

Sacramentals are sacred signs that help dispose the soul to grace. Their value comes through faith, prayer, repentance, and the blessing of the Church.

Blessing Matters

Whenever possible, medals, crosses, candles, scapulars, and other sacramentals should be blessed by a Catholic priest before use.

The Goal Is Peace

This guide exists to help families pray, remain calm, and stay close to Christ. True spiritual readiness begins with confession, prayer, and trust in God.

A Practical Reminder

Herbal elements and devotional oils do not replace medical care. In ordinary circumstances, always seek proper professional advice when needed.
