Nearly every Catholic family has someone who has drifted from the faith. A son. A granddaughter. A husband. This pack was made for them.
In 1840, Our Lady revealed the Green Scapular to Sister Justine Bisqueyburu in Paris as a special instrument for the conversion of sinners, especially the return of those who have left the Church. The devotion was approved by Pope Pius IX in 1870. Tradition holds that it may be worn, carried, or even placed near a person who will not accept it: in their room, among their belongings, under a pillow.
That is why this pack includes two scapulars. One is for you. The other one has a mission.
Inside the navy velvet envelope:
2 traditional Green Scapulars, single piece of green cloth with the image of Our Lady on one side and her Immaculate Heart on the other, green cord
Illustrated booklet in English with the story, the promises, and how to use it
The same booklet in Spanish, because sometimes the person you pray for prays in another language
An entrustment card to write the name of the person you are praying for, English on one side, Spanish on the other
Write their name. Say the short prayer daily. And do not lose heart: Saint Monica prayed seventeen years for her son, and her son became Saint Augustine.
The scapulars ship unblessed. Please have them blessed by your parish priest. This is not a charm and promises nothing by itself. It is an instrument of prayer, placed in the hands of Our Lady.
